Army Green Girl: Ashley Stewart Remixed - Garnerstyle

Army Green Girl: Ashley Stewart Remixed

As I've been cleaning out of my closet and getting rid of things I came across this dress from Ashley Stewart.  This is definitely a keeper.  Army green is one of those difficult colors to find and wear.  I bought this dress originally to go with some cowboy boots.  I still haven't found my perfect pair of cowboy boots as of yet.  This dress is 5 years old...at least.  I thought it was a great blast from the past.  On a side note - You rarely see me wear a stretchy belt.  The belt added onto this dress is stretchy.  The reason being is that they bunch up too easily and can often look sloppy on me.  I like a belt that stays put...no bunching, no twisting, and brings structure.  Anyways, apparently army green is on trend for fall.   I'm eager to see what people come up with.

Outfit Logistics:  Dress - Ashley Stewart (at least 5 yrs old), Belt - (so old I don't remember), Shoes - Nordstrom Rack, Clutch - Jason Wu for Target, Lipstick - MAC Angel

    1. It stays in place, but as you can from the picture it's relentless on bunching and bending. I hate that. I like this belt so I pull it out every now and again and that's why I haven't gotten rid of it.

  5. You look great! One of my favorite colors to wear is green. I love how it looks against my skin tone...and I think it really compliments your skin tone as well. The belt also is great. I completely agree about strechy belts...sometimes I buy them because they are too cute to pass up (like the one in your post), but I prefer a harder, more structured belt.

  6. Gorgeous! The shape of the dress is lovely - and seems like a good transitional piece.

And I'm so there with you on the belts! I love leather belts too - the stretch ones just don't work on my figure. 90% of mine come from Talbots because they have such a variety of colors and finishes. However, nice wide leather belts are very hard to find! I saw a great one by Lafayette 148 but it's almost $200.....
Love this color, I'm on the hunt for a leather jacket in just this shade...

  16. Love the look. Also I just got some simple cowboy boots from Target. They only had brown in the store but they may have other colors, like black, online.
