Big Beauty X Jean Marc Philippe - Garnerstyle

Big Beauty X Jean Marc Philippe

Big Beauty Collection for Jean Marc Philippe
I am immensely in love with Le Blog de Big Beauty & Jean Marc Philippe collaboration collection.  Looks 1 and 2, please.  It's so fancy, but yet so sleek, polished, and minimal.  For someone who loves polished and clean looks this is right up my alley.  I know that sometimes we feel that in fashion you have to have so many bells and whistles on a garment for it to speak, but sometimes less is more.  The most classic and clean pieces can speak the loudest. The white jacket/vest is EVERYTHING!!  It will be mine!!  Refined taste is bleeding through the seams.  Brava & Bravo!  You can find the entire collection here.  They do ship to the U.S. What do you think of the collection?  Hot or just okay?

  1. I think the first dress looks like a hospital johnny. Something about the fabric/color combo. The third dress is just a dress I have seen everywhere. But I adore the b&w look. That white vest/jacket thing is awesome!

    1. Awwww I love the first dress, I'd wear it in a second - I agree on the 3rd one. The white vest is sick!

  2. I honestly love the collection, but to the average person whose looking for bells and whistles or just trends they cannot appreciate these looks. Perhaps it is the choice of models in comparison to what we are seeing mainstream right now. Who knows but the white vest is brilliant. I could see Kiah wearing this as well.

    1. Frmm Instagram a lot of people were commenting on the models and how they felt like they were selling the items. I look at clothing and immediately imagine myself in them, but I do get that some people need a visual.

  3. I tried to order from JMP earlier this year. Apparently the first time my order somehow got held up at customs (when I contacted them to find out why it hadn't arrived). They claimed they were re-sending it and I still never got anything. Contacted them two more times and they didn't answer either inquiry, and by that point it was too late to get a refund from Paypal. I hate that I trusted them when they claimed they were sending the item and let my time lapse. So I will not ever order anything from them again, although I have ordered many things from overseas (mainly the UK but a few things from China) without incident. So bad customer service from my experience and that was as someone who was able to communicate in French (I'm not sure how their English is, I'm assuming they probably can help you in English).

    1. Eek! That is no good. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah the clothing isn't inexpensive, so I would be extremely upset if I paid for it and it never came. Ugh!

    2. It has been interesting seeing her blog though. France is one of those places where I honestly could not figure out where a 14+ lady could ever find clothing but she clearly manages to be quite chic. My shopping there is limited to accessories, makeup, and odds and ends b/c everything in the boutiques looks tiny (they do not like to put loads of stuff on the racks like we do though, but I really didn't get the impression they had many larger sizes).
I mean, I knew the stereotype that all European women were skinny wasn't true, but it did always seem like they had even worse options than we did, so I wonder how long these stores have been around.
Yes, so mad...clearly the Euro exchange is not good for us so it was very upsetting. Just another reminder that you really can't go back and forth with merchants when you use Paypal b/c they limit THEIR liability for refunding you pretty well. So I have NO leverage with them at all.
