Nautical L♥ve

I love nautical looks almost as much as I love leopard.  The crispness of the colors blue, red, green, and sometimes yellow together just make me feel all warm inside.  If I had it my way I would live in these two looks.  Something about looking like a walking boat everyday prevents me from doing such a thing.  The weather in Dallas is perfect for an outfit like this. I actually wore this today to do some errands and I felt so "easy breezy."

Just a note:  If you are thinking of purchasing this skirt, I'll let you in on the sizing.  My waist is now 39 inches  and it's a tight fit.  I ordered the XL.

  5. Very cute! You really know how to put things together! I think all of you fashion bloggers have to do a post on how to go shopping. Do you shop for an outfit or do you buy a wardrobe and then put together things that you have? It's hard for us (me) simple people who are trying to kick it up a notch, when you don't even know how to start.

    1. I shop piece by piece. I rarely buy two items from the same place at the same time. Everything I buy is to integrate into the wardrobe I already have. I always tell people to be patient when they shop, stop trying to get all you can get all one time. I think that is when you end up unhappy with your choices.

    2. Might I suggest the book "Style Yourself"? I've checked it out from the library going on 3 times. Eventually I'm going to order it for myself.

I admit it is kind of hard to know where to start when you're trying to kick your wardrobe up a lot.
I'm trying to buy more basic pieces, items that can last me season through season and that I can mix and match vs a lot of trendy items that won't be much use to me after a season.

    4. Thank you Chastity, I will keep that in mind. When I do have an extra pocket of cash I do tend to want to buy all I can in one day before I decide to use the money for something else. Patience is a virtue.

PensiveFashoinista - Thank you for your tip. I will definitely look into that book!
