I have ordered quite a few things in the past couple of weeks. Recently, I blogged on the Silver Power Sleeve Dress from Dorothy Perkins. In the recent post I suggested the dress to be similar to the style that Rihanna wore at her interview with Barbara Walters. Well to say the least I did not like the dress. I really thought the dress would be a gray sweater type material. I wasn't. And the material the dress was made out of was too thin. But what I really loved about the photo of the dress was the sleeves and well when I tried it own the sleeves looked like a droopy diaper on my arm there was no stiffness to the sleeves at all to keep them up. Basically this dress was not flattering at all on me. I think I also did not pick a dress that was age appropriate for me...it is definitely for a younger girl. I have ordered a power sleeve top from DP (remember the pink top from a couple months ago) that was really cute and the sleeves kept thier shape, so I think its definitely what you order and what material it is made out of.
I did, however, love the purple booties from Torrid. I also bought a pair of Ankle Boots with a bow detail from Newport News that were cute but too small and I did order my correct size.

Honestly you look great regardless. Wear it out to the club or add a vest to dress it down.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress but I can understand your issues with the sleeves. I ordered shoes from Torrid as well and they also were to small...
