I tuck in a lot of my tops. I like to create clean line and structure in my appearance, so that's why I do that. I've had quite a few people say that tucking in isn't within their comfort zone, and that's ok. With this look, I showed you my usual way of wearing these pieces, but I also put in an alternative way to wear them, but still create clean lines and structure. The top is very blouse-y and flow-y, so it doesn't clean lines I like to create.
By leaving the shirt out and adding a structured jacket, like the leather moto jacket I have on, you can give your look the structure you are looking for and still stay within what is comfortable for you. I've written this blog for a long time, and I've always wanted to provide style inspiration, but I also want the reader to take the look and wear it in a way that works for them.
Style Notes: The top is an 18/20 and runs big. Note that it is black, although it's photographing a little bluish. The pants are Melissa McCarthy, and I'm wearing the 3X. I kind of love these pants and purchased 3 prints. I know people liked the line, but the pricing was out of their budget. There's actually a pretty good sale of a lot of items at Lord and Taylor and of these pants at the Melissa McCarthy website. The pants and jeans are totally worth considering, especially if you're a big booty/thigh girl.

ReplyDeleteI like both to be honest. It all depends on the garment. Plus Size Tops look great both ways :)
