When I'm doing my budget shopping, I'm still looking to make my inexpensive items look expensive. A classic black and white combo will always do the trick. When budget shopping, I tend to usually stick to more neutral tones, like blacks, white, beiges, nudes, etc. Then I'll add the "pizzaz" in with my accessories.
There are few things that I liked about this combo from Forever21. This skirt, only $16, had tulle underneath to give the skirt some fluff and to bring it alive. There's also a hot pink version here that I may get too. Both colors are so fun, and they can be easily dressed up or down. The black makes an excellent work skirt. I like the top simple seam shoulder detail. Both pieces just look smart to me. This is a closet must-have for those looking for a great staple to add that is budget friendly.
Style Notes: I got a size 2x in the top and bottom. For the skirt, you should go by your waist measurement only. I usually get 3xs in Forever21, but got to try this on in store. Also, I've been getting a lot of shoes on eBay lately. Size 11s & 12s are a quick search away, and I'm also able to get a lot of the more expensive shoes I like discounted
