Outfit of the Day: Swimsuits & Handbags

So this is the last post I will do on Vegas, but I left out a couple of things.  This is the swimsuit that I bought from Norma Kamali for Walmart for a mere $26!  I love it, it fits great! I added a little hot pink belt to give it some color. I have been wanting to try the belted swimsuit look.  The belt is actually Forever 21 and I paid less than $3 for it, which is really good because you definitely don't want to submerge a leather belt into water.  This belt had a patent leather look and was pretty much plastic, which made it perfect for the water.

Oh and I can't believe I forgot to mention the freaking shopping in Vegas!  OMG!  The Las Vegas Premium Outlet is magical.  They have every major designer's outlet there with fabulous merchandise and even more fabulous prices.  If you are a girl who love high end fashion and snazzy things then (take my word for it) the next time you are visting Vegas make time to visit the outlet.  I only had an hour to shop, but I definitely took advantage.  I came out with two Kate Spade bags.  Both totally $231.  I also picked up a top from Banana Republic for $30.  As a long time BR shopper, I was so amazed at the outlet prices.  Everything was so cheap!!!

Anywho,  I usually buy two swimsuits every year and I did this year, but one was an EPIC fail.  With us well into the summer, where did you ladies get your swimsuits this year?

  1. Great idea to belt the swimsuit! I have a very similar suit I scored from Old Navy a few years ago. I don't get to the pool often as I live in MI. So I've only worn the suit 2 times. lol.

Only thing I don't like about it is it' halter. Is yours?

  3. I purchased the same swimsuit. I love it except I usually purchase swim suits a size big but this one was a little too big...Not noticeable to anyone but me though. I paid $19 for mine and I got it online. I never thought about putting a belt with it. That's a great idea because I really wanted more color in my swim suit but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it because I don't go to the pool too often.

  5. You look amazing! I got a swimdress from Walmart this year too! I like the vintage-y look of a cute skirt but need coverage/support everywhere which is why I got the 1 piece swim dress. Suddenly Slim by Catalina, it has the under-portion tight stretchy "control" material, and the bodice has a rounded V, with shirring through the torso that's slimming. Love it!

  6. LOVE your bathingsuit! You look fabulous!

I have been eying a similar vintage swimming suit from Walmart but haven't been brave enough to get it yet. I did however get a cute black and zebra belted swim skirt from Lane Bryant and a halter swim top from Target.

Thanks for the shopping tip in Vegas, we are going there next month!

  13. LOVE IT!!! I actually have this exact same swimsuit in black (got it online last fall for winter indoor swimming :D )

I've also got a couple of mix and match bikinis from Old Navy. Their sizes are generous and their 20 (XXL) fits more like a 22. So I've got board shorts, triangle halter, halter tankini and classic cut bikini bottoms all in this pretty dark blue :)

  20. They're playful, curvaceous, and steeped in sex appeal. So the reason we refer to the former is to balance out the latter: Vintage-style swimwear has its place in 2015's swimwear trends, but it's not always going to be about strawberry cheesecake and other cliches. Swimsuits
