Plus Size Shopping

Ever wonder how some of plus size girls still shop the straight size section?  I promise that I don't have some magical measurements. I do, however, have an unwillingness to let an opportunity to find something fabulous pass me by, no matter what department it's in.  These rules, by no means, are guaranteed, but more of just guidelines.  By know means do I mean buy all your clothes in the straight size section, but you can find some things that will work that you can sprinkle across your wardrobe.  When shopping, I like to scan all sections, just to make sure I didn't miss anything.   I hope this takes a little of the mystery straight size shopping while plus size.

  1. My husband always tells me not to be so sticker shocked as in "this size is to small or to big" he says if it looks like it might work give it a shot who cares what size it is as long as you look good in it? I love him and I love this post!

  5. Yes! Yes! Yes! And the other trick I use it JUST TRY IT ON! Not all "sizes are created equal". Depending on the designer/store/style I may be a 2X or a 5X it just depends. Don't be scared just give it a try!

  6. Love the post! This is definitely a MUST do for me! All those cute little t-shirts in straight sizes look like bodysuits with blood pressure cuffs on me. Men's "european cut" t-shirts give me a perfect fit without cutting off my circulation. :)

  8. Great ideas! I'm generally straight size (petites), but I wear some smaller sizes at Torrid and Forever 21+. I have long shopped maternity for cute maxi dresses and tops because of the extra bust and belly room. Size is often very irrelevant, and I have found that I can wear anything from a M to XXL, just depending on how something is made. Great tip on stretchy pencil skirts!!

  10. I do the same!! Many times I go for something bigger or smaller to get the desired effect (as long as it fits and is comfortable of course!) and I really loved the maternity wear tip, there are so many cute things one can find in the maternity section, especially dresses =D

  12. I am a person with a visual disability. The font size on your blog is so small that I have great difficulty reading or seven seeing it. Please consider using 12 font size or larger. Thank you for your consideration.

  17. Men do things on their own schedule. It's the reason it takes a man three hours to take the trash out or six months to get a room painted. When they feel it's the right time to do something they will gladly do it.

  18. Once I thought about things like: why such information is for free here? Because when you write a book then at least on selling a book you get a percentage. Thank you and good luck on informing people more about it! dominos coupons
