Vintage Dots

Plus size polka dot dress, plus size Vintage

I finally got to pull out this vintage find.  Some of you saw me ask the question, "Collar up or down?" on Facebook.  Finding this dress makes me wish I had more time for vintage/thrift shopping.  This dress is adorable, and I ended up wearing to a meeting I had earlier that day. This dress also came with sleeves. I, every so gently, cut them off. LOL. I would normally have my tailor make it sleeveless for me, but the shoulder covering made it so the raw edges wouldn't be visible. I'm never afraid to bring out the scissors on my clothing when I can improve the garment for me.

Style Notes: When I'm shopping vintage, I always have a lot of luck with shirt dresses.  Now, I usually do have to ditch the sleeves, because they are too tight.  Vintage shopping can be a bit of a pain because not a lot of plus size clothes existed 50+ years ago, especially options that you would want to wear.  My vintage pieces are limited, but the ones I do have, I do love. It's definitely worth the look.  I did purchase this dress from an online vintage shop.
